What do we check?
We check your site for 72 parameters. The following are the categories of the parameters. You can find more in details in each of them in the particular section of the knowledge base.
Broken link – Broken links or dead links is when the pages of your site have links to nonexistent pages. Broken links negatively affect the position in the search engine.
Favicon – Favicon is an image, most often a logo that is used in different programs. For example, application icons on your phone are favicons.
Caching - Caching is one of the most critical aspects of the performance of your site. Errors in this category are also checked
404 page – 404 page is displayed when the user visits a non-existent page of your site. It's an excellent rule to customize 404 pages.
Cycled links – A cycled links is a link that leads to itself. Such links prevent search engines from indexing your site. As a consequence, there are fewer pages in the index of search engines and a non-proper page weight distribution.
SEO – Errors associated with poor SEO optimization should be corrected. This is the most important factor in ranking your site in the search engines.
HTML – HTML errors can be compared with the torn pages in a book. You can read them, but the book looks better without them.
Images – Almost all sites have problems with non-optimized images. Correcting errors from this category can reduce the page volume by more than 50%. Be sure to pay close attention to this category.
Site speed – The speed of downloading your site determines a lot. This is the aspect that must be kept under close check. To control site speed, check your website regularly.
RobotsTXT – File robots.txt - auxiliary file for search engines. It is configured once and affects the ratio of search engines to your site.
Sitemap – The sitemap helps search engines to index your site. As a rule, after creating a sitemap, the pages in the search index become 3 times larger.
SSL certificate – The certificate affects the credibility of your site in the eyes of users and on the part of search engines.
SMO – This is the optimization of your site for social networks. If you expect to attract visitors from social networks, then errors from this category should be corrected.
H1 - Headers H1 is the most important element of the page from the point of view of SEO. Errors from this category must be corrected.
HTML5 - Fixing bugs from this category helps improve response to the site on the part of search engines.
How can I fix the errors?
All errors can be conditionally divided into 3 categories: server, programming, and marketing.
Errors of caching, editing, optimizing images are best handled by the administrator of the server on your site.
Errors in SEO, SMO, robots.txt are best left to a specialist or a marketer.
The rest of the errors can be fixed by the programmer.
Work with the report.
After the site verification is complete, you can download the report. There are several actions which will make it easier to work with the report:
- You can filter errors in the report by category.
- Opposite each error, there is a sign "i." Clicking on it, you will go to the page with a detailed description of the error.
- If you press Ctrl + F, your browser will open the text search box. This is useful if you need to find a specific error.
